Ezekiel 37:1-14 Intro:
Ezekiel was led by the Spirit of God in a vision in which he was surrounded by a valley of dead mans bones. His surroundings were hopeless but God breathes hope.
Surroundings can change you, but you commit to change your surroundings
Studies have shown that surroundings can effect buying behaviors and shopping patterns...
Examples:
Movie Theatres add chemicals to popcorn to enhance the aroma in hopes to increase sales of expensive popcorn
Retailers strategically place products in their store in hopes to influence purchases
Restaurant's create atmosphere with sight and sound to encourage customers to spend more money
The devil is a deceiver and try's to influence how we feel and attempts to steal our joy by trying to encourage us to focus on our surroundings in hopes to cause us to doubt and lose faith in God, but remember to "walk by FAITH and not sight!"
With God's. presence comes peace, provision, and power to experience what God has promised if we place our trust in Him regardless of the problem.
Key Thoughts:
Effect your surroundings don't let your surroundings effect you
Key Thoughts:
Sad situations can become a sanctuary when we seek God
Ezekiel shows us how to respond in rough times
Key Thoughts:
God can and will restore when we trust and rely on Him
Key Thoughts:
Spend more time declaring the promises of God and less time describing the problem
God gave Ezekiel a strategy we can learn from:
S - Speak the word in the Spirit
Speak what God says, not what you see
T - Trust God to do it
See the possibilities of Gods promises on the problem
(Psalm 9:10)
R - Refuse to Doubt
(James 1:6)
A - Always pray and praise
(Philippians 4:6)
T - Testify when God gives Triumph
(Psalm 40:3)
E - Endure and Stay Encouraged
(Hebrews 10:36)
G - Give Thanks at All Times
(1 Thes. 5:18)
Y - Yield Your Wants to God's Will
(Proverbs 3:4,5)
In closing, remember what you can't do, God can!
Nothing is impossible with God!
What is in ruin, God can restore!
Key Thoughts:
God can breathe life in what is broken, dead or dormant, if you will declare His word and depend on Him
Key Thoughts:
Trust in God today and watch God turn your life around.
Key Thoughts:
God can turn what looks to be a grave yard into a garden, trust Him.
