Praise God for a powerful display of His glory at the Dwelling Place on yesterday- Here are notes from the message:
2 Kings 3:9-24 Sermon Notes:
Digging Ditches: Preparing a Place for God in the Midst of Your Problem
Introduction:
The army of Israel were on their way to face the enemy army and realized after marching 7 times around they faced a need for a major resource-water...
Just as they could not live without physical water, we can not live without Living Water!
They turned to to God for the solution and God granted favor and fulfilled His promises
Remember:
Make God your first response not your last resort
God promised to provide for the need and blessed them to achieve victory over the enemy...
God provides more than enough when we place our trust in Him
With the promise on its way we must learn to prepare for what is promised.
Prepare for your destiny by digging ditches and positioning yourself and your situation for God to move and fulfill what He has promised
Prepare right now, here comes Gods provision!
Jesus is our source in all situations...
In this text we see the need for God to help in a hopeless situation.
God can, when we can't!
Do not focus on the size of your situation or problem, focus on on the size of your God!
Remember:
No matter how big your problem is, God is bigger!
When un-expectant problems arise, place your trust and dependence in God
Problems may be a surprise to you but not for our sufficient God
Remember:
God is NOT overwhelmed by your needs
Faith makes room for God to fulfill His promises
Make room for God's provision in the midst of the problem by standing on the promises of God
Placing God in the center of your problem gives peace, power, and provision
Provision is found when we place our trust in Jehovah-Jireh, the Provider!
You not only have the peace of God, but you have the God of peace... You have:
God who is present - Heb. 13:5
God who protects - Isaiah 41:10
God who provides - Isaiah 41:10
God who leads - John 10:4
God who gives rest - Matthew 11:28
God who has a plan and purpose - Jeremiah 29:11/Romans 8:28
God who is faithful - 1 Samuel 12:22
When facing problems...
Notice the purpose in the problem
Notice the presence of God
Notice the peace of God
Notice the plan given by God
Notice the power of God
Notice the provision of God
Do your part to see what God has promised
Faith without works dead!
Prepare for what God has promised you today!
